Dr. Shaila Balaganur

Dr. Shaila Balaganur is a resident of Manguli village in Vijayapur district in Karnataka. She did her M.A. in Women Studies from Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University in Vijayapura in 2010 andwon a gold medal in 2019, she was awarded a PhD for her thesis on reproductive rights awareness in women. This is her first research book. She has been working as a guest lecturer in the same department and university for the last eight years. Besides, she worked as a project assistant for over 2 years on a major UGC research project. Her enthusiastic approach to the issues of women’s health has made her travel to "every nook and corner" of the district. This has greatly contributed to her experience with women’s health issues.
