Dr. Prakash Sigedar

Dr. Prakash Sigedar is a distinguished orthopedic and trauma surgeon, educator, author, and social health advocate from Jalna. With more than three decades of dedicated clinical experience, he has been serving patients with compassion, commitment, and professional excellence since 1997. He is the founder of Sigedar Hospital, a center known for orthopedic and trauma care in the region. An alumnus of Government Medical College Aurangabad and SRTR Government Medical College, Dr. Sigedar completed his MBBS and post graduation in Orthopedics before pursuing additional qualifications including an MBA (HR), FIAMS, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Rheumatology. He is a PhD Scholar pursuing doctorate in orthopedics under the guidance of Dr. Parag Sancheti at SIOR Pune affiliated to MUHS Nasik. Apart from his busy orthopedic practice, Dr. Sigedar has made remarkable contributions to medical education and public health awareness through writing and academic activities. He has authored several books and numerous articles on health education, orthopedics, disability awareness, lifestyle diseases, preventive healthcare, and socially relevant medical topics. His writings are widely appreciated for presenting complex medical concepts in simple and practical language for both medical professionals and the general public. A multifaceted personality, Dr. Sigedar is deeply involved in professional organizations and academic forums. He has served as Secretary of the Maharashtra Orthopaedic Association and has actively participated in various scientific conferences, workshops, and awareness initiatives. Dr. Sigedar has also contributed to academic literature and medico-legal discussions in orthopedics through research publications and review articles. Over the years, his dedication to medicine, education, and social service has earned him several prestigious recognitions, including the Jalna Ratna Award, Dhanvantari Award, Dr. Suresh Nadkarni Award, Rashtriya Samman Puraskar, and multiple Presidential Appreciation Awards.
