Pervious concrete which is also known as the no-fines, porous, gapgraded, and Permeable concrete and enhance porosity concrete have been found to be a reliable storm Water management tool. By definition, pervious concrete is a mixture of gravel or granite Stone, cement, water, little to no sand (fine aggregate).When pervious concrete is used for Paving, the open cell structures allow storm water to filter through the pavement and into the Underlying soils. In other words, pervious concrete helps in protecting the surface of the Pavement and its environment.

Dr. P. Muthupriya

Dr. P. Muthupriya, obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in 2000 with a GATE percentile of 84.04 and Master’s Degree in 2002 both from Bharathiar University, and Ph.D. degree in 2011 from Anna University, Chennai. She is working as Professor and Head of Civil Engineering Sri Krishna College of Engineerng and Technology, Coimbatore, and she has 20 years of experience in Teaching and 13 years of experience in Research. She has published 35 papers in the International Journals, 8 papers in the National Journals and 70 papers in National/International Conferences. She has guided more 30 PG and UG projects. She is the recipient of the “Best Women Faculty” award for the year 2010 from the VLB and Sri Krishna Group of Institutions, Coimbatore. She received “Best Technical paper” award from the Journal of Institution of Engineers (India) for the paper entitled “Repair of Damaged Square Column with GFRP Composites” in the year 2006. She has received Honorarium from Civil Engineering and Construction Review Journal for the Publication of Papers in the years 2010 and 2014. She has organized Five International Conferences and Seven National Conferences, more than 15 faculty Development Programmes, more than 45 National Level Workshops and Seminars sponsored by various funding agencies like AICTE, New Delhi , Ministry of Earth Sciences, Defense Research and Development Organization, New Delhi, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, Indian Space Research Organization, Bangalore, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Mumbai and The Institution of Engineers (India). She has received Rs.18,00,000/- as financial grant for organizing Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and STTP/FDPs at National /International Level. She delivered more than 22 guest lectures and chaired many Technical session in various Colleges. She is approved Research Supervisor in Anna University Chennai. She is guiding 2 Ph.D. Scholars pursuing under Anna University, Chennai. She is serving as Review /Editorial board member for various Journals. Her areas of interest include Earthquake Resistant Structures, Self Compacting Concrete, Fiber Reinforced Concrete and E- Waste Concrete.

Currently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, and has 4.0 years of experience in Teaching. Mr. V. K. Shankar

Mr.V.K.Shankar is a passionate Assistant Professor at Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology, where he worked for the last four years dedicated to developing the next era of engineers. With a robust academic foundation, Shankar holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology,Tiruchengode and a postgraduate degree in Environmental Engineering from Anna University RO's-Tirunelveli, both of which have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the interdisciplinary challenges in modern engineering. Currently, Shankar is pursuing a Ph.D. at PSG College of Technology, where his research is at the forefront of sustainable development and environmental conservation.Shankar's contributions to the academic community extend beyond his teaching and research. He has been instrumental in mentoring young engineers, guiding them to excel in their careers while instilling in them the importance of ethical and sustainable engineering practices. His efforts have been recognized through several awards for excellence in teaching and research, reflecting his commitment to academic and professional excellence. Driven by a passion for innovation and a strong sense of responsibility towards society, Shankar aspires to contribute to the development of resilient infrastructure that can withstand the challenges of the modern world.
