There are plenty national and international regulations, norms and guiding principles for preparation of manuscripts. The materials are not in a single place, but spread over multiple sources and web sources of multiple national and international agencies. Sections on publication related knowledge and skill components are yet to be included in most of the traditional text books. This prompted me to develop study materials and presentations on these learning components. My primary intention was to introduce this subject to the post-graduate students so that they may answer questions from this area in university examinations. Also, junior researchers may be benefited with some ready-to-use guidance for drafting the manuscript for publication.
