T he NMC guidelines say that the Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) is a 12-month training program that all medical graduates must complete to be allowed to register permanently and practice medicine in India. This training has to be finished within two years of passing the f inal exam. During the internship, students rotate through different departments and learn how to do common medical procedures, manage everyday illnesses, and understand the country’s health programs
