The primarily and essential need for any civilization are materials. The properties are different for both bulk and thin films. The term “thin film” denotes a material of thin layer spreading on plane but third direction is controlled. The thickness of thin film is typically nanometers to micrometers. The mechanical properties of thin films are somewhat dissimilar from those of the bulk material. The thin films are leading materials for efficient signal transduction between electrical and mechanical domains in both sensors as well as actuators. The thin film technology is relatively young emerging and is being used extensively in the study of the association between the solid materials structure and their physical properties (Matthiessenet al., 1864).

Dr.Siddhiram.N.Bajantri (M.Sc., M.Phil.,B.Ed.,P.h.D) is currently working as an Associate Professor in Physics at Government First Grade College for Women’, Jamakhandi, District Bagalkot, Karnataka State. He Completed his Ph.D at Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi, with a thesis focused on Structural, Optical and Electrical Properties of Metal Oxide Thin Films. He is a distinguished research specializing in Biophysics. with over 15 years of teaching experience at UG level, he has developed a reputation for excellence in Physics. His academic journey is marked by significant research contributions, including the discovery of new gas sensor and the publication of 16 peer reviewed research papers in Scopus and UGC CARE journal and he is life member of all Indian Association of Physics Teachers.
