Dr. Geoffrey Eappen

GEOFFREY EAPPEN was a Senior Research Fellow(CSIR SRF) in the department of wireless communication (SENSE) at VIT,Vellore (T.N). He is a recipient of the U.K. Commonwealth Fellowship. His PhD degree was based on the joint collaborative work between VIT Vellore and Brunel University London, fully funded by the U.K. Commonwealth Commission. He has also served as an Assistant Professor for MATS University, India. Currently, he is working as a Research Associate in Signal Processing & Satellite Communications research group, SIGCOM, headed by Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas at the University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg . His research interests include Cognitive Radio Networks, Spectrum Sensing Methodologies, Metaheuristic Optimization schemes, Artificial neural Networks, Beyond 5G technologies, and Verilog hardware implementation for beamforming on satellite communication.

Dr. T. Shankar

Dr. T. Shankar received Ph.D. and M.E in Applied Electronics from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India in 2014 and 2005, respectively. He obtained Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from University of Madras, Tamil Nadu, India in 1999. He is a member in Senior Member in IEEE, Life Member in IETE (Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers), Life member in ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) and Life member in MSCRS. Presently, he is working as Professor in the School of Electronics Engineering, VIT University, Vellore. His research interests are in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks, Bio-inspired optimization techniques based wireless networks and image processing. MANET, VANET, software defined networks, LTE, IOT, and Emerging Wireless Networks. He has published 75 research articles in the international reputed journals and 30 research articles in the international conferences. He has guided 8 Ph.D research scholars and involved in Doctoral committee member, Board of Studies (BOS) member of various Universities.
