Dr. Dimpal T. Raval

Dr. Dimpal T. Raval, is an Associate Professor of Law and is currently serving as the Director I/c, School of National Security and Law. She is also the former Dean, Directorate of Extension & Distance learning. She is the Founding Faculty of the School and has a teaching experience spanning more than 20 years. Further, she has been appointed as a Visiting Professor at the Royal Docks School of Business and Law, University of East London, UK (A Public University established since 1897). Dr. Raval has served as a lecturer at Shri N.S. Patel Law College, Modasa and Assistant Professor at B.K. Mer. Bank Law College, Palanpur, Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University. She has been delivering lectures as a distinguished speaker to serving Police Officers, CBI Law Officers, Prosecutors, Teachers, Researchers & Law Students and also serving as a panellist at various forums. Dr. Raval has extensively contributed several articles/research papers in National /International Journals of repute, having high Impact Factors and has authored various books and book chapters. She has organized, attended, chaired, and convened a number of National/ International conferences, seminars, workshops and presented research papers and addressed technical and scientific sessions. She is a member of the Editorial Board of ‘KAVACH’ a magazine by RSU and an International Multidisciplinary Journal Eternity’. She is the founding member of The Pro Bono Clinic, ‘The Women Development Cell’ and ‘The Internal Complaint Committee’ at Raksha Shakti University. Dr. Raval is presently heading the Centre for Public Safety, the Centre of Excellence for Child Protection (in collaboration with UNICEF) as well as the Centre for Legal Aid Clinic & Pro Bono Services at the School. Dr. Raval is guiding research scholars for their Doctorate, M.Phil. and Master’s Degree and is also a referee of PhD. thesis of other Universities. She is serving as PhD-Law Coordinator under the SNSL. Her areas of academic competence and research are, Constitutional Law, Women & Children Laws, Human Rights, Cyber Crime and Laws and Environment Jurisprudence. She is in the Programme Advisory Committee for syllabus framing of Degree, Diploma and Certificate programmes in the area of Women’s and Gender Studies, BAOU, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She currently heads the Internal Complaints Committee at Rashtriya Raksha University as its Chairperson and is also a member of the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) at the Board of Gujarat Technical Education, GOG. She has been appointed as the Vice President, Law Teacher’s Division (Indian Chapter), International Council of Jurist, London, UK. Further, she has also been awarded Honorary Doctorate from International Gandhi Peace Foundation, Nepal for her distinguished contribution towards Gender Equality & Laws. She is a Life member of the International Council of Jurists–UK and Indian Society for Criminology.

Dr. Shahanshah Gulpham is an academician by profession, in Criminology and Crime Science discipline. He holds Master degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration and awarded Doctorate Degree in 2014 on the topic ‘Crime against Working Women: A study of Working Women of Lucknow City”. He has qualified UGC NET/JRF four times in Criminology, Social Work and Sociology. Previously, he has worked in various capacities in central government organizations in, National Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC), New Delhi under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, AMU, Aligarh, and IIPA, New Delhi. He also has experiences of working on various research projects funded by organizations such as IIPA, ICSSR and NHRC, etc. He has been avid in researches of Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration since last decade and has numerous publications to his credit including in ‘SCOPUS’ indexed journals and has authored several books including police administration, women empowerment and international relations. His research interest mostly focuses on new criminology; Crime Science, Heuristic in Criminal Justice, Design Against Crime (DAC) and Green Criminology etc.
