Shonahar Ali

Shonahar Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management studies at The ICFAI University Meghalaya, Tura. He completed his B.Sc. degree in Statistics (Mathematics & Economics) from Gauhati University & M.Sc. in Statistics (Econometrics & Operations Research) from Dibrugarh University. He achieved a Ph.D. degree in Statistics from Assam downtown University. He also obtained B.Ed. degree from Gauhati University and also holds a Diploma in Computer Application He did 5-Data Sciences courses from IIT Madrass at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (NPTEL online courses) including one Management course. Right from 2007 to 2018 as Guest Lecturer he worked on regular basis at the Central Agricultural University (College of Community Science), Tura in the Department of Basic Science to teach Statistics for B.Sc. and M.Sc. students. Dr. Ali has published 5-research papers in referred national and international journals. He has presented number of research papers in national and international conferences & delivered lecture as resource person in various workshops & seminars. His areas of interest are forecasting, econometrics, quantitative methods and data analysis. He adores in teaching & actively engaged in research for over 10 years.
