Strong contributions to climate change adaptation and mitigation come from plants. Large amounts of carbon are stored in forest ecosystems, which also influence moisture and temperature patterns. The use of sustainable farming practices can cut greenhouse gas emissions dramatically. Urban landscapes that integrate sustainable gardening and forestry practices have the potential to use less water and activate more regions of the planet for sequestering carbon dioxide. Building food system resilience will require preserving and utilizing biodiversity, particularly if crop yield stability is impacted by climate change. Having access to a variety of plant genetic resources is necessary for these initiatives. It is said that environment plays an important role in the growth and development of organisms weather it is plant or animal, environment is the key significant factors in its overall development. There are some plants which can interact with polluted environment and gives signals of pollution levels by making changes in their taxonomy and other anatomical characters. Present chapter focuses on such pollution indicators plants giving there detailed information.
