The idea behind this book, DNA Barcoding: Modern Tools for Species Identification, originated from the growing demand among students, researchers, teachers, and professionals for a comprehensive yet accessible resource that explains both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of DNA barcoding. Although several publications discuss specific aspects of molecular taxonomy, there remains a need for a textbook that systematically presents the principles, methodologies, technological developments, and real-world applications of DNA barcoding in a clear and organized manner. This book has been written to bridge that gap by providing readers with a thorough understanding of DNA barcoding, beginning with fundamental concepts and progressing toward advanced technologies and future perspectives.
