Dr. Bhumika Naidu

Dr. Bhumika is born and brought up in Vadodara. From childhood she was having interest in gardening and animal’s especially insects’ life. Following her interest in nature she did her research in entomology. she had 7 papers published in several journals and a chapter published in book “Progress in herbal technology’’. She had been teaching in the university for few years. This book is the conversion of her thesis ‘Diversity, Ecology and Conservation of insects -A habitat Approach’ submitted to Maharaja Sayajirao university of Vadodara in 2008. Being wife and mother of two children now she is staying in Coimbatore, finding the difference in flora and fauna especially insect fauna between two cities.

Apart from nature she loves to Draw Mandala, Zentangle, Rangoli, reading mythology books and watching horror and suspense movies.

She is creator of two channels on you tube. Channel “BKN WORLD OF INSECTS” is regarding insect life and Channel “Shlok Sanskriti” for teaching Sanskrit shloks and mantras. Links are as follows:

Dr. Dolly Kumar

Professor Dolly Kumar, a gold medalist in her master’s degree, earned her Ph.D. from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Prof. Dolly Kumar joined the faculty of The M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat, in the year 1989 and has been actively associated with research and teaching Entomology since then. She pioneered the research on the taxonomy and diversity of insects and spiders in the Department of Zoology of The M.S.University of Baroda. During her career, she guided 16 theses on Taxonomy, Ecology, and the diversity of insects and spiders. Her work has been published in important scientific journals in country and abroad. The present edition of the book is the cumulative outcome of years of dedicated work in the agricultural fields and the lab. This book on “Diversity, Ecology and Conservation of Insects: A Habitat approach” will also work as a guide to insect taxonomy for students studying Entomology and freelancers who are passionate about the identification of insects.
