The purpose of writing this book is to provide an in depth and extensive knowledge about community medicine which will be useful for post graduate students. This book will provide a reading experience to study unexplored areas in undergraduate curriculum. A clear cut demarcation of the entire subject into 20 chapters has been made to organize the understanding of the subject. Question and answer format has been selected to make the discussion as in viva voce examination. Keeping in mind Albert Einstein's quote "The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education”, the text is written in such a way to integrate knowledge from all scientific disciplines beyond curricular borderlines.
