This book also recognizes that biodiversity conservation is not solely a scientific challenge—it is a social, cultural, ethical, and political endeavor. Effective conservation requires collaboration across disciplines, institutions, and communities. It demands respect for indigenous knowledge, public participation, innovative technologies, and adaptive governance. By presenting ecology as both a natural science and a societal responsibility, this volume encourages a holistic perspective on environmental problem-solving. The preparation of this work has been guided by the belief that knowledge can inspire stewardship. As biodiversity faces unprecedented threats, education remains one of the most powerful tools for change. It is hoped that this book will not only inform readers but also motivate them to contribute actively toward the preservation of Earth’s biological heritage.
