For better understanding by the readers, the book has been divided into five chapters, namely (i) Introduction, (ii) Diversity and distribution of aquatic invasive macrophytes, (iii) Habitats and niche characterization of aquatic invasive macrophytes, (iv) Invasion potential of aquatic macrophytes, and (v) Management of invasive aquatic macrophytes. Through these chapters, we aim to lay the foundation for understanding the distribution and ecology of invasive aquatic macrophytes in wetlands of the Indo-Burma Biodiversity Hotspot of Assam and the critical need to address the challenges they pose in the region.
