The current state of the telecommunication market is driven by the increasing demand of the end users for multimedia services which require high data rates. Within the Fixed Satellite Service, frequency bandwidths wide enough to carry such high data rates are not allocated in conventional C-band to Ku-band. Such wide bandwidths are available only at higher frequency bands such as Ka-band (20 GHz - 30 GHz), Q/V-band (40 GHz - 50 GHz) or EHF-band (20 GHz - 45 GHz). For civilian applications, this trend is reinforced by the saturation of the conventional frequency bands (C band and Ku-band) : indeed, developing a new satellite system in these frequency bands involves a lengthy coordination procedure in order to limit the interference caused by the new system to the existing ones (and vice versa)

Dr K.Kalyana Srinivas

Dr. K. Kalyana Srinivas is an Assistant Professor at the VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology in Hyderabad, India. In 2021, he received a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management-GITAM (Deemed to be University). He earned a Master's Degree in Radio Frequency and Microwave Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. During 2010-2018, He worked in Research areas such as Fade dynamics, Earth-space communication links, Link budget analysis, Microwave Antennas and Ku band Communication Satellites. He proposed the KT-Mathematical model and KT-Algorithm for accurate cloud attenuation values estimation, for which he filed a Patent with the Indian Patent Office and published it. He is currently working on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning Algorithms and Deep Learning models. He has around 50 publications in renowned International Journals and Conferences to his credit.
