It is a reasonably accepted fact that the oral cavity of a human body is a clear reflection of the comprehensive condition of heterogeneous tissues in the human anatomy. Majority of the pathologies has their first manifestation usually in the oral cavity. The oral tissues can be subject to change or damage as a consequence of disease that predominantly affects other body systems. Such oral manifestations of systemic disease can be highly variable in both frequency and presentation. Very often, oral manifestation would be the most preliminary sign of a systemic pathology. Numerous systemic pathologies may point to common oral manifestations or any specific oral manifestation may be associated with a particular disease.

She holds PG Diploma in Medico Legal Systems (KIMSDU) and Fellowship in Academy of General Education (FAGE) from Manipal University. Currently she is pursuing PhD. She has a particular interest in research and has been conducting many research projects and has more than 40 research publication in various national and international journals. She specializes in the field of early detection of oral cancer and works as Tobacco cessation counselor. Apart she masters as oral and maxillofacial physician and radiologist, including the CBCT.

Dr. Ahwini Rani SR holds Master’s degree in Oral Medicine and Radiology and is currently working as Assistant Professor in School of Dental Sciences, KIMSDU, Karad, India. Dr Ashwini Rani SR has published various articles in National & International Journals. In addition she has been awarded research award for her publications in the year 2018. She is also a contributor to the book “Oral Medicine & Oral Radiology by Peeyush Shivhare. Currently she is active in teaching undergraduates for their short term studies at KIMSDU, Karad. She has attended several scientific conferences, presented her research work. Dr. Ashwini Rani SR interests include diagnosis of Orofacial Pain and TMJ Disorders, special diagnosis and care management for systemic disorders, early detection of oral cancers, Maxillofacial imaging with modern tools like CBCT, Implant Planning.

He has attended several scientific conferences, presented his research work & awarded with best paper presentations.
