Dr. Vidya A. Patil

Dr. Vidya A. Patil is an experienced academician and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at Bhusawal Arts, Science and P. O. Nahata Commerce College, Bhusawal, District Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. She holds M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in Botany. She has 33 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and 18 years of research experience. Her specialization is Cytogenetics and Plant Breeding. Dr. Patil has an extensive research background with 25 research papers published in national and international journals. Her research interests include phytochemical studies, medicinal plants, biodiversity, plant taxonomy, algae, and conservation of plants. She has presented many research papers in international and national conferences on themes such as conservation of biodiversity, medicinal plants, ethnobotany, mangroves, hydroponics, and forest resources. Dr. Patil is an accomplished author of 45 textbooks in Botany for undergraduate students. She has successfully completed a UGC-funded minor research project on "Certain Medicinal Plants in the Forest of Jalgaon District." She has actively participated in faculty development programs, seminars, workshops, and training sessions. Dr. Patil has received several awards for best paper presentations, poster presentations, and other academic and social contributions. In addition to research and teaching, she has held various academic and administrative responsibilities. She is an Associate Professor and HOD, Botany, Co-ordinator of Biotechnology and Microbiology, and a member of BOS Botany, Kavyitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. Dr. Patil is actively involved in social activities and has delivered lectures on topics like forest conservation, biodiversity, health, and environment in various colleges. She is a recognized PG teacher of KBCNMU, Jalgaon and has also worked in university examinations as chairman, paper setter, moderator, supervisor, and member of various examination committees. She is the recipient of the Best Teacher Award 2026 from Rotary Club Bhusawal and the Best Paper Presentation Award. She is a life member of IWSA and Indian Congress Association. She is associated with many NGOs and social organizations, works for biodiversity and conservation, and has contributed to tree plantations. She has delivered various lectures to the Senior Citizens Association in Bhusawal on health, diet, and how to remain happy in life.

Dr. Seema A. Gaikwad

Dr. Seema A. Gaikwad is a dedicated academician, researcher, and social activist currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Botany at Dr. Ganpatrao Deshmukh Mahavidyalaya, Sangola. She holds M.Sc., Ph.D., and M.A. (Marathi) degrees and has more than 33 years of teaching experience in the field of Botany. Her specialization lies in Plant Physiology, and she has contributed significantly to higher education through teaching, research, academic administration, and community development activities. Dr. Gaikwad has actively participated in several academic and scientific bodies. She serves as a Senate Member and Standing Committee Member of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University and has also contributed as a Member of the Board of Studies in Botany. She is associated with various professional and social organizations including the Indian Women Scientists Association (IWSA), Marathi Vidnyan Parishad, and several educational and social development committees. Apart from academics, Dr. Gaikwad has actively organized and coordinated numerous national and international conferences, workshops, and training programs focusing on women empowerment, natural resource management, entrepreneurship, digital communication, and environmental awareness. Dr. Gaikwad has made valuable contributions to scientific research through paper presentations at national and international conferences, including events held in Bhutan and Andaman-Nicobar. She has published 17 research papers in reputed journals and completed three minor research projects. Her academic interests also include women empowerment, environmental awareness, and social development through education. She has authored 35 books and delivered invited talks on various social and educational issues. In recognition of her contributions to education, research, literature, wildlife awareness, and social service, Dr. Gaikwad has received several awards from educational institutions, social organizations, and government bodies. Her achievements include awards for educational and social work, wildlife photography, essay writing, and community service initiatives.

Dr. Manjusha V. Ingawale

Dr. Manjusha V. Ingawale is the Head of the Department of Botany and Environment Science at Kisan Veer Mahavidyalaya, Wai. With more than three decades of dedicated service in higher education, she has made significant contributions to teaching, research, student development, women’s empowerment, environmental awareness, and community outreach. She actively serves in several important academic and administrative capacities within the institution. She is the Convenor of the Women Empowerment Cell, Coordinator of the Internal Complaints Committee for Women, Member of the College Development Committee, and Programme Officer of the National Service Scheme (NSS). She also served as the Chief Editor of the college magazine Krushnai for two years. Dr. Ingawale has received numerous prestigious awards in recognition of her outstanding contributions to education and society, including the Best Teacher Award (2025) from SIDVI Foundation, the State-Level Stree Pratishthan Shikshan Ratna Award (2025) from Pratishtha Foundation, Sangli, the Maharashtra Educational Sevaratna Award (2025) presented at Shivraj Mudra Sammelan, Karad, and the Kranti Jyoti Savitribai Phule Educational Service Award conferred in Pune on 3 January 2025. She was also honored with the Best Teacher Award (2024) in the field of Plant Science and Saraswati Bhusan purskar on 28thMay2026 at PimpariChinchwad, Pune  Throughout her career, Dr. Ingawale has organized numerous lectures, counselling sessions, and workshops for female students on a wide range of educational, legal, health, and social issues. These initiatives have included collaborative programmes with members of the Nirbhaya Squad, police officials, legal experts, medical practitioners, and entrepreneurs, aimed at empowering young women and promoting their holistic development. As an NSS Programme Officer, she has led various social outreach activities, including relief efforts for flood- and drought-affected communities, support initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic, and welfare activities for orphanages and social institutions. Through the Women Empowerment Cell, she has also extended assistance to organizations such as the Yashodhan Institution. An active academician and researcher, Dr. Ingawale has participated in international, national, and state-level conferences, where she has presented her research findings. Her scholarly contributions include 10 research papers, 10 book chapters, and five authored book. She has also contributed articles to Sakal newspaper and other publications. In addition to her role in Botany, Dr. Ingawale heads the Department of Environmental Science.
